Overview

THIS IS A REMOTE POSTION BUT CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN ATLANTA GA METRO AREA TO VISIT WITH COACHING SPECIALISTS IN 14 SCHOOL DISTRICTS.

 

The Education Impact Manager is an education expert responsible for managing and developing Coaching Specialists to ensure successful implementation of Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Early Learning Corps programming and strong, equitable outcomes for students. The Education Impact Manager provides equitable, inclusive program leadership, supervision, and accountability through recruitment, development, management and retention of diverse Coaching Specialist talent. The Education Impact Manager is responsible for mobilizing their team to maximize program implementation and equitable student outcomes in collaboration with their regional teams and Content Directors. This position supervises a cohort of Coaching Specialists and is responsible for managing and developing them to ensure fidelity to program models and maximum impact for student participants.

Responsibilities

 

Coaching Specialist Management Development and Support

  • As directed, set expectations, articulate responsibilities and manage the performance of designated team of Coaching Specialists to maximize program implementation and impact
  • Actively recruit, retain, and provide performance management to a diverse staff of Coaching Specialists
  • Implement a standardized onboarding and training plan for new coaching staff to ensure fidelity to program models
  • Collaborate with program leadership to facilitate professional development for Coaching Specialists including content related to literacy, numeracy, student engagement, trends in educational research, and diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Use data to drive Coaching Specialist priorities and ensure Coaching Specialists attain organizational, regional, and site-level implementation and impact goals
  • Conduct regular observations of Coaching Specialists, provide consistent feedback and coaching to improve fidelity to program models and program impacts on equitable student outcomes
  • Ensure Coaching Specialist effectiveness by analyzing implementation and impact data, observing coaching practice and providing performance feedback, goal setting and supporting coaches to meet their goals

 

Program Leadership and Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Ampact leadership to implement strategies for program growth and district partnership
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of local sector context and relevant partner and competitor organizations
  • Engage with key local sector-based partners as an industry leader, serve as content experts for site partners and regional teams
  • As needed, liaise with Internal Coaches and other site partners to support Coaching Specialists’ implementation of Ampact programs
  • Participate in continuous improvement of program models by regularly collecting and providing stakeholder feedback on program implementation and impact to Content Directors and supervisors on a regular basis
  • Collaborate on program improvements or special projects as assigned
  • Communicate program model changes to Coaching Specialists and internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner consistent with organizational protocol
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Education

 

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in educational psychology, school psychology, special education, or education, or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience

 

  • 3+ years relevant work experience in early learning, primary or secondary educational settings
  • 3+ years of progressive, relevant experience in management, preferably in an educational setting
  • Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and lead by example to inspire top performance
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, characterized by the ability to gain respect, delegate tasks, manage workloads, and positively influence others
  • Strong sense of responsibility for advancing diversity equity and inclusion
  • Strong background in reading or math intervention, instruction, assessment, and data- based decision making
  • Experience and fluency collecting and analyzing educational data, using data to accelerate student achievement
  • Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and cultural competence and equitable results for students
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
  • Experience facilitating adult learners through training, coaching, supervision, and observation
  • Experience creating and delivering training and evaluating its effectiveness
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
